At the WPL 2026 retentions, RCB had stuck with players like Smriti Mandhana, Ellyse Perry, Richa Ghosh and Shreyanka Patil.

The WPL 2026 auction is just a few days away, and the excitement around it is real. Especially, given the fact that there will be some high-profile names entering the auction, the interest has only increased many-fold. The WPL 2024 winners came up with a decent WPL retention 2026 list — that included skipper Smriti Mandhana, Ellyse Perry, Richa Ghosh and Shreyanka Patil, but would have a lot of work to do, come the auction on November 27 in Delhi.

InsideSport takes a look at the players that RCB can target at WPL 2026 auction.

Batter RCB should bid for in WPL auction

Deandra Dottin: This West Indies all-rounder was released Gujarat Giants, and should be on RCB’s radar. She has enough experience of playing around the world, can bowl and can hit big shots. She has two tons in T20Is. In fact, more than her bowling, she is the kind of batter that RCB would love to have in their ranks.

Kiran Navgire: This 31-year-old player is one of the strongest hitters of the cricket ball in women’s cricket. She boasts of a strike-rate of over 140, but one of the concerning factors is her average of 17. But she is tailor-made for some crunch situations. Could be a handy batter.

Chamari Athapaththu: Again a big hitter, but from Sri Lanka. Her strike-rate can go over 110 and has three T20I tons to her name. She can be explosive, and can be a good support to Smriti Mandhana at the top.

GV Trisha: Remember the U19 World Cup 2024. A certain Trisha from Team India had made her name for herself as an explosive batter. In 7 matches she scored 309 at an average of 77. More importantly, her strike-rate was close to 150. If she is there is the auction list, she is a must-have.
